This was an interesting experiment and an exploration outside my comfort zone for sure!
Part of a Cryptovoxel Metaverse workshop hosted by the Futurly educational platform, we setup a small team and proceed to design this architectural space which serves as both a suggested concert space and a weird alternate dimension/exhibit space as well.

I handled the primary modeling in blender alongside me teammates and prepared the concept stage in Twinmotion. It was definitely an interesting experience, especially thinking architecturally outside the traditionally boundaries imposed by physical rules and budgets!

A few general thoughts that I couldn't help but have during this week or so that I was partaking in this workshop -

- NFT's are a cumbersome solution to a problem that doesn't really exist and they are largely driven by speculation and in their current form don't seem to have much value
- Ditto about cryptocurrency and the blockchain
- The concept of the metaverse has been around for ages, and for anyone playing games this is REALLY nothing new. Also the main 'metaverses' being advertised and used right now are kinda weak. Cryptovoxels for example is like Minecraft but without any fun or point :/

That said, getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new should be entertained. I had my reservations and issues with everything blockchain/crypto based but I realized I didn't know too much about it so I took this workshop. Now I know more about it and can safely say that most of reservations were completely valid :)

The voxel based sculpts and props featured in the cabinet are from Elena Kaufmann - while Moheed Hasan contributed conceptually to different parts of the overall model.

The featured frame-grabs of Ghost in the Shell, Akira etc are their respected copyright and obviously will not be used in any commercial iteration of this model. They are simply here as an homage to my childhood references (especially Akira).
