Doom and Bloom

A second part of a world-building project that I'm working on. Still not sure if the final deliverable product is going to end up being a short film or an interactive experience. I thought of playing around the idea of a super bloom after an apparently catastrophic event. Though I took a few more days to flesh out the scenes a bit more than the first example, these still fall under a quick, concept exploration phase.

Modeled the sphere (main prop) in Rhino primarily through boolean operations - remeshed in 3dsMax and UV'd.
Texturing was, quite quickly, done using Quixel Mixer while the rest of the scene (landscape, debris) was put together in Twinmotion 2020 and using Megascan assets.
Post-production grading and coloring was then carried out in photoshop using Nik's collection and some dodging/burning here and there.
